Kokam Sharbat
What is Kokam ?
A tropical evergreen tree from India, Garcinia indica, that produces fruit which is dark purple. The fruit is halved and then sun dried, the dried fruit is called Kokum or Amsool. Later it became black, deep purple, and gave the drink a pinkish purple. It has a strong sour taste. It is widely used in curry cooking in India, mainly in Maharashtra. It has many important health benefits. It solves health problems such as acidity and indigestion. Kokum Sharbat is a refreshing drink for hot and hot summers.
Kokum is used in India as a sour agent for tamarind or amchur. I drank a large glass of kokum sharbat (a cold drink) to offset the heat.

Note -
If you don't have Kokum concentrate/ syrup, you can dip a few pieces of Kokum petals in a cup of hot water and use the extract. Or, you can mix and filter them for use.
